Zurich Singapore, part of the global insurance group, has strengthened its Commercial Insurance business segment with the appointment of Christy Yeo as Head of Property and Wendy Ong as Head of Financial Lines.

The pair will report to Alexandra Cowley, Chief Underwriting Officer, Singapore, Zurich, and will be responsible for the leadership, growth and market management of these portfolios in Singapore.

They will also work closely with their teams to support and develop underwriting capabilities and execute on strategic priorities.

Yeo has over two decades of experience, including 12 years with Zurich. Most recently, she was the Head of Upstream Energy, Singapore. In addition to her new portfolio, Yeo will continue to oversee the Upstream Energy portfolio.

Ong joined Zurich in 2018 and most recently she managed the Directors & Officers and Financial Institutions product lines. She has previously led the Financial Lines’ wholesale facultative reinsurance underwriting strategy and business development.

Cowley commented on the appointments, “I am very pleased to have Christy and Wendy step into these expanded leadership roles with their proven track records in their respective fields.
